DAR-CAD Designs is located in Walkerton, Ontario and services Mid-Western Ontario including towns along Lake Huron including Goderich, Kincardine and Southampton and inland to Chesley, Paisley, Hanover, Mount Forest, Listowel, Wingham, Teeswater, Mildmay and Walkerton and all points in between
We provide Design and Consulting Services for all types of Residential, Commercial and Agricultural buildings
Although our main area of practice is new custom Home & Cottage Design, we also design small Commercial and Farm Buildings
We also design Additions and Renovations to all types of buildings
All drawings are electronically prepared with the latest Computer Aided Design (CAD) software
We are knowledgeable in all current building code and local by-law requirements in effect
Design Process
The Design Process begins with an initial consultation with the client to establish their wants and needs and to create a general design vision working with their specific wish list
Then we create a Preliminary Design based on information obtained from the initial meeting. This is presented to the client for review and mark-up
Then we make any changes required to tweak the design and meet the client's approval
Preliminary Drawings consist of floor plans, front exterior elevation and site plan drawn to scale and showing general information only
Once Preliminary drawings are approved by the client, we then prepare Architectural Drawings for building permit approval and construction
The Architectural Drawings consist of completed site plan, foundation plan, floor plans, exterior elevations, building cross sections, details, and notes necessary for construction
We work closely with the client and the builder from design through construction to ensure that what has been created on paper is built to exacting standards closely resembling the drawings and original design and intent
